Dell Inspiron 13z and 14z Notebooks

The Dell new Inspiron 13z and 14z laptops, with an “ultra thin” form factor and the option of either Intel Core i3 or i5 processors.  Both of these notebooks have been designed for general and entertainment use, with a 720p display and solid connectivity options.


 
Insprion 14z
The Dell Inspiron 14z features the choice of either an Intel Core i3-2330M or Intel Core i5-2410M processor, with many other features also optional in true Dell style.  For example, users can choose between a 640GB hard drive at 5400 rpm or a 750GB at 7200 rpm.  The screen features 1366 x 768 pixel resolution, powered by an Intel HD graphics 3000 GPU.

In terms of connectivity, the Inspiron 14z comes with two SuperSpeed USB 3.0 ports, a single USB 2.0/eSATA combo, a mini Display port, SD/MS/MMC, Bluetooth 3.0, and 802.11 b/g/n.  However, one of the major talking points of the 14z is the inclusion of Intel Wireless Display technology for big screen use, with regular HDMI also available.

The Dell Inspiron 14z is available right now from Dell.com, although it is only for sale in select regions at this stage.  The price is $600.

Inspiron 13z

The Dell Inspiron 13z also has a 1366 x 768 pixel display (720p), 8GB of memory, and a choice of hard drives.  Users can choose between a 500GB or 320GB hard drive or a 128GB solid state drive.  The Dell Inspiron 13z is currently only available in select countries in Asia, although it may become available in the west at a later date.
