Haleron X-Droid 10 Android

Haleron X-Droid 10 Android tablet

Haleron has just released a new Android tablet called the X-Droid 10, the new tablet will come with Android 2.1.

As for hardware specifications, we know that this model will use 10.1-inch TFT resistive touchscreen display and that supports 1024 x 600 resolution.

As for the processor, X-Droid 10 will be using a 1GHz ZT-180 ARM processor.

The memory on board this device will be 256MB of DDR. On the other hand, X-Droid 10 comes with 2 to 32 GB of storage space and if that is not enough for your needs, you can always expand this further thanks to its microSD card slot.

This tablet comes with a 1.3-megapixel camera, but additionally you can add an extra webcam thanks to the USB slot, something not always seen in tablet PCs.

The X-Droid 10 boasts 1080p full HD support and majority of audio and video file formats are supported.

Besides that, this tablet has two speakers, audio jack, two USB ports, as well as Ethernet LAN and WiFi support.

ViewSonic ViewPad 10, a dual-booting Windows 7

Latest ViewSonic ViewPad 10, a dual-booting Windows 7 / Android 1.6 tablet

Under its pretty design is hidden an Intel Atom N455 at 1.66GHz, single-core model with HyperThreading Technology, 2GB RAM and a 16GB SSD for hosting the two operating systems.

Fortunately, the limited capacity of internal memory can be extended only with microSD memory card slot, or resorting to external storage devices connected via USB 2.0.

On the media side we have a mini-HDMI connector, a 3.5 mm headphone jack and a 1.3 MP webcam for video conferencing applications.

At first impression, ViewSonic ViewPad 10 seems to run smoothly on both operating systems, despite using only a single-core processor.

ViewSonic ViewPad 10 uses a NVIDIA Tegra 2 platform and runs on Android 2.2 with a custom user interface.

The ViewSonic ViewPad 10 is expected to launch within the next month, with a retail price of $599 for the one with 16GB, while the 32GB model will be available for $679.

MAGIC W3 – first Windows 7 tablet / smartphone

The AdvanceTC Magic W3 features a 4.8-inch touchscreen which has a native resolution of 800×480, and also interpolated 800×600 and 1024×600 options. The device is powered by the 1.6 GHz Intel Atom Z530 CPU and Windows 7 Home Premium. It is fitted with HyperThreading technology, which is emulated by the functionality of a dual-core processor.

The operating system is installed on an integrated SSD with a capacity of 32GB that has 1GB of RAM available. The storage space can be extended by at least 32GB using a microSD memory card.
The device also benefits from 3G, Bluetooth and 802.11b/g wireless connectivity, and in addition to the obligatory SIM card slot also sports mini-HDMI, mini-USB and microSD. Completing the specs checklist is built-in GPS, accelerometer, dual microphones, stereo speakers and a 3.5mm audio jack.

Having a full version of Windows running on a handheld device may have been enough of an attraction just a few short years ago to make the Magic W3 a huge success, but it's questionable that it will be able to compete with the many more advanced mobile offerings either already or soon to be available. That said though, there's nothing wrong with having another choice for mobile computing.

At the time of writing, there's no word on pricing or availability.

Motorola Xoom tablet

The tablet is equipped with stereo speakers, a claimed battery with a lifespan of 10 hours and an HDMI port.

For those more into the technical bits, specifications are on top and many users think that Motorola Xoom is the first tablet with Android that can compete with iPad and even iPad 2.

It has a 1 Ghz dual-core Tegra 2 processor, 1 GB RAM, 32GB storage space, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, 3G (upgradeable to 4G LTE in the US), Bluetooth, GPS, cameras (2MP in the front and 5 MP rear), accelerometer and light sensor.

Motorola Xoom boasts a 10.1-inch screen which displays images at a stunning resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels.
