Super Mario, Doom II, WoW selected in “The Art of Video Games”

The Smithsonian American Art Museum is organising an exhibition which explores the evolution of video games –

“The Art of Video Games”.

Until April 7, voters selected 80 games from 240 video games appeared in the last 40 years.

The Museum has released the list of the video games to be included in the exhibition.

The exhibition will open from March 16 to September 30, 2012.

It will feature a lot of  well known games such as Donkey Kong, Super Mario Brothers, SimCity, The Legend of Zelda, Metal Gear Solid 2, Halo 2 and other lesser-known titles.

In the exhibition, visitors will have the opportunity to play some of the video games such as Pac-Man, Super Mario Brothers, The Secret of Monkey Island, Myst, and World of Warcraft as part of the display.

However, it’s notable that sports and simulator games, and early-generation games such as Spacewar and Pong are missing from the list.

There are few first-person shooters; Doom II is included as an entry in the DOS/Windows “action” genre.
The show will have large screenshot samples of  games from the vaults like The Bard’s Tale III: Thief of Fate, and Spy vs Spy. However, Gran Turismo 5, Call of Duty, Tekken, FIFA, Madden NFL, or even Guitar Hero will not be included.

The Feno foldable laptop concept

The Feno foldable laptop concept

A new stylish laptop named Feno has been unveiled.

Its design is unique and will let you easily carry it anywhere by folding it into a much smaller device than you’d imagine.

There has been suggestions that this concept was initially explored by companies like Fujitsu but none was put to practice.

This new concept laptop has a folding screen (OLED) with a hinge in the middle, thus allowing the screen to fold into half.

There is another hinge connecting the keyboard with the main screen, thus enabling you to fold the laptop twice and thus increasing portability.

The laptop has a USB port on one side and a display output port and a wireless optical mouse that pops out.

Google – working on a new Google TV?

Google TV didn’t achieve major success because Google had legal issues with broadcast services, but that might change soon because rumor has it that Google is working on a new version of Google TV.

To make things even more interesting, Google might introduce new Google TV at this year’s Google I/O which will take place later this month.

Of course, the new Google TV will be faster than its predecessor because it will house a faster chip, and it will offer a new interface that should enhance user experiences.

In addition, new Google TV will support Android Market, so you’ll be able to download apps for your Google TV as well.

This means that we might get a chance to see Gmail, Google Talk, and Google Voice, along with other services on our TV screens.

Fujitsu Loox F-07C smartphone dual boots Windows 7 and Symbian OS

Here comes Fujitsu Loox F-07C, a new concept smartphone.

It has the capability of dual-booting both Windows 7 and Symbian OS.

This concept is pretty much similar to UMPC which was launched a few years back.

The funny part is both the OS’ which it is capable of booting between are not the most popular ones.

However it would have been a different case if it uses Android or iOS (which would never happen).

The device is not yet announced but leaked through a printed brochure to the public.

According to the brochure, the Fujitsu Loox F-07C will pack a 4-inch screen with a resolution of 1024×600, an Intel Atom Z600 at 1.2GHz and an an Intel 600 GMA with DirectX 9.0 support for its graphics.
